  • One of the120 students from India selected for the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) fellowship 2013, to pursue a summer internship in one of the public german universities
  • Currently top 5% (Ranked 9/157) of a batch of 157 students, Mechanical Engineering, IIT-Madras
  • Branch Topper of Mechanical Engineering in semester 1(GPA: 9.35/10), second in semester 5(GPA: 9.88/10) out of 157 students.
  • Perfect GPA of 10.0 in Professional Major Laboratory courses of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum at IIT-Madras. 
  • Top 0.7% of candidates in the Joint Entrace Examination, organized by IITs, 2010
  • Awarded for outstanding academic performance in classes VII, VIII, IX and X at Indian School Muscat (ISM), Oman

Responsibilites
 

Payload Mechanical Systems Engineer, IIT Madras Student Satellite Project                                                                                Nov 2012 – Present

  • Lead the design of the support structure of the SPEED detector of IITMSAT, along with a team of 5 students. Also supported the final year project work of two IIT-Madras students working on the structural and thermal aspects of the satellite

  • Participated and presented in many reviews with faculty and ISRO committees as part of IITMSAT. Also involved in several group visits, including Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (Mumbai) and Indira Gandhi Center for Atomic Research (IGCAR)

  • Involved in the project formulation, guidance and selection process for incoming-new students to IITMSAT

 

Coordinator, Ignobel, Mechanica 2012 (Annual technical festival of the Mechanical Dept.), IIT Madras                                               Jan-Mar 2012

  • Ignobel is an event where people present hilarious research. This event was held for the first time in Mechanica 2012

I've been a part of quite a few extra- curricular activities during my school days. Not specifically  in IIT however, due to a lack of time!

  • Can perform arithmetic calculations at extremely high speeds, stood first in class several times

  • Performed several live demonstrations across Indian schools in Oman

  • Cleared the first 3 levels from Trinity, a London Based Music School, with more than 75% marks                                                                                                 

Karate, Karate Budokan International (KBI), Oman                                                                                                                                        2004-2008
  • I got a black belt in Karate from Karate Budokan International, after rigorous training for a period of 4 years
